My background contains several years of experience in supply chain/purchasing/procurement, buying, planning and sourcing, and has had a high level of exposure to manufacturing and distribution. My includes but is not limited to: JIT and MRP systems to meet business needs; preparation of RFQs, purchase orders and agreements, price justifications, total cost analysis; perform bid evaluations and recommends supplier based on data analysis; negotiates contracts for part price and delivery; negotiates and settles damage claims, rejections, engineering changes, etc.​; performs supplier site visits and evaluations.​ Currently working in a JD Edwards OneWorld ERP environment with several supporting systems and applications to successfully execute any task.

Currently as a Buying and Planning Consultant with Watson Laboratories, I am responsible for numerous aspects of their business and am in a highly visible role where I am responsible for numerous facets of the buying and planning processes within the supply chain/procurement/purchasing divisions of this pharmaceutical manufacturer. Additionally, I am responsible for and the main point of contact regionally and nationally for internal and external customers, 3rd party vendors and working within DEA guidelines and corporate processes and procedures, etc.

At Maxim Healthcare, my position was more directorial in nature and I created an interdisciplinary approach to Purchasing. The foundations of successful planning lie with teamwork, both within an organization and in partnership with suppliers. My skill set is highlighted by my expertise in serving as both an internal and external liaison. With the City of Baltimore, I was involved with the preparation of the annual budget, including capital equipment. While in sales with Fisher Scientific, I solicited end users, but also worked closely alongside senior-level managers to assist with needs assessments, savings targets and budget planning. I was heavily involved with one of my customer’s pilot plants which used JIT purchasing and CGMP standards to meet manufacturing goals.

Over the course of my ten-year career, I have been privileged to work in entrepreneurial environments in which I created and developed my own business strategy, and have done so effectively. Through it all, building strong teams and careful planning have been at the forefront of my success.
